Pysanka

My new art Project is dedicated to the great holiday of Easter- this year the date for it is 20th of April.
In Ukraine we have a beautiful tradition - we make Pysankas - painted eggs
example:

Every picture on these eggs are meaningful, each dot has to symbolize something. ( Yellow colour is a Sun, its energy, green means the youth, the world plant etc.). I will make a big post all about the Pysanka, but little bit closer to Easter.

My new project - is a series of paper cuttings in shape of the Easter egg, with different symbols.

The first one -

is one with a pregnant woman inside, who prays for the health and for everything good for her child and all the people

My colleague from Romania inspired me to make this image on the paper.

Paper Cutting Art

I would like to introduce you our Ukrainian old art of paper cutting - we call it Vytynanka.
There's a lots of different variations of it all over the world, but for Ukraine most traditional type of papercut - is symmetrical one.
To make very thin and delightful lace of peper, I use blades for paper, not scissors.

New pot with grass

lovely fascinating greens on my window make me happy :3
it grew in two days after planting seeds
the larger beans are cornflowers, I love these deep-blue flowers, I think it will match with the colour of lawn-grass
